Civic IDEA (Civic Initiative for Democratic and Euro-Atlantic Choice) is an independent, non-commercial organization based in Georgia that works to advance democratic governance, the rule of law, and Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic future. Our mission is to strengthen a free, fair, and equal state in which citizens feel safe, protected, and empowered by strong institutions and accountable government. We seek to institutionalize Georgia’s democratic and Euro-Atlantic choice by making it meaningful, resilient, and accessible to every citizen.

A core focus of Civic IDEA’s work is monitoring and analyzing foreign influence in Georgia, including the growing presence of China. We assess the implications of such influence for democratic institutions, national security, and Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic trajectory—particularly in the context of the government’s increasing disregard for assessments by trusted international partners, allied security services, and authoritative EU studies and recommendations. Through research, public engagement, and international cooperation, Civic IDEA works to ensure that Georgia’s strategic choices remain aligned with democratic values, transparency, and sustainable development.
