Tinatin Khidasheli, Head of Civic IDEA, participated in the Global Total Defence Summit, organised by the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom in Isarwinkel, near Munich, on 23–24 October 2026.
The summit brought together perspectives from Ukraine, the Caucasus, the Baltics, the United States, Latin America, Africa and the Indo-Pacific to explore how societies and governments can strengthen their resilience against evolving security threats.
Discussions covered foreign information manipulation and interference (FIMI), cyber threats, AI and emerging technologies, public-private cooperation, and hybrid threats, highlighting the importance of a whole-of-society approach to defence and democratic resilience.
