Small States in the Changing World Order: Democratization – Key to Successful Resilience-Building

On October 6-7, Civic IDEA will organize the fourth annual international China conference, “Small States in the Changing World Order: Democratization – Key to Successful Resilience-Building,” which will host 60 participants from all over the world, including opinion makers, experts, educators, as well as, politicians, media and CSO representatives, in two full days of free and open discussion, opinion and experience sharing, and discoveries of possibilities and best practices from various jurisdictions. Our 2023 conference aims to raise confidence and bring hope that it is exactly democracy that brings development and prosperity, along with security, to a country like Georgia. As democracy is the only pass, we must realize our Euro-Atlantic dream landing of Georgia’s membership in the EU and NATO. Civic IDEA is particularly grateful to Visegrad Fund, Friedrich Naumann Foundation, NATO Contact Point Embassies (The UK & Romania), USAID, East West Management Institute, Taiwan Foundation for Democracy, National Endowment for Democracy for Freedom and Embassy of Poland to Georgia for making this event possible.

This project is co-financed by the Governments of Czechia, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia through Visegrad Grants from International Visegrad Fund, as well the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea. The mission of the Fund is to advance ideas for sustainable regional cooperation in Central Europe.
