The discussion will be moderated by Tinatin Khidasheli, Chairperson of Civic IDEA, and former MOD of Georgia.

On October 31, 2020, important parliamentary elections will take place in Georgia. Our online talk and invited speakers will address such issues as:What should we expect as an outcome of these elections? How might the recent institutional changes of the electoral framework influence the voting results? How has the global pandemic impacted the campaign strategies? Would it influence the outcome of the elections? What are the expectations of the EU and West from the elections? What impact would these elections have in the post-Soviet region?

On August 20, the presentation of Giorgi Masalkini’s book – “Polyethnicity and Polyreligiousness of Georgia – Threat or an Advantage to Treasure” was held in Batumi. The book was published by the Civic IDEA Library of the Virtual Democracy Academy.

On July 8th, the Civic IDEA hosted the last webinar on “Liberal Views and Responses Worldwide: Be Aware or Be Next”.
